Goodbyes and Family

After 21 years of making music together Rob is retiring from the workforce and Rob & Cath are living their dream and moving to the island this weekend. They found a lovely home in Chemainus. We’ll miss them!

Many things have, and will, change. Unfortunately, that’s life. And in the last few years our little family has said goodbye to;

  • Marilyn & Earl
  • Frannie
  • Fr. Scott
  • Clare-Anne
  • Catherine
  • Effie & Eduardo
  • …and now Rob & Cath

We love and miss them all but we know that God will shape our musical family according to His plan.

Rob we are so grateful for all of the years you’ve shared your gift of music, laughter, prayer and friendship. We’ve laughed together, made music together, shared sorrows together as we said goodbye to your mom and then your dad. We’ve travelled together (BEST trips ever), partied together and made memories that will last from this lifetime to the next.

Please know that you will always be a part of our family and that this is by no means goodbye, just that we won’t see you as often.

I told Cath that the only thing that makes all of this change bearable, is that it’s been quite surreal and we haven’t really seen many people for the last year and half! Who knew that could be a bonus?!?

Anyway gang, please lift Rob & Cath up in prayer. That God will reveal many wonderful blessings for them in the years to come on their island paradise.

WE LOVE YOU GUYS.

Happy Easter 2021

Well, here we are folks over a year later and, not to sound like a broken record (or 8 track, or tape, or CD) but, we still miss you all and we still look forward to the day we can make music together.

It’s easy to say “as a Christian we should always rest in the knowledge that God is in control and all will be fine” but, not so easy to live this minute by minute, day by day. Faith filled and faithful as we are, we all feel that, that’s being human. The difference, I believe, is that the Spirit doesn’t let us stay in that place very long. Thankfully. Because we know that after every Good Friday…comes Easter Sunday.

EASTER makes all things new and we do have much to celebrate. Like CLARE-ANNE & WASWA’S WEDDING! and JAMIE’S RETURNING HOME FOR GOOD! Yes, that’s right, Jamie is coming home soon. Yay!

Stay the course, be safe and we WILL see you all soon.

Wishing you all a blessed and safe Easter Season. May the joy of the Risen Lord always be with you and yours.

Love,

Patrick & Peggy

Letter To Our Dear Friends…

To say “we sure miss you” seems trite and overused. We do, so much.

We hope you are all well and have had a lovely Christmas, whatever that looked like for you. We hope you know that you were with us when we sang for the Christmas Liturgy just like you have been for so many years. In every note we sang, in every chord or key we played, you were there.

This year has changed each of us, we know, it certainly has us. We each have had our struggles. Struggles with health, with anxiety, depression, with being separated from our Church, our family and each other. As Christians we know that in life there is only constant, and that is our Lord, Jesus. He never changes, He is always with us. He is in every struggle and every joy we experience. And surely He has been with us in this past year even though sometimes it may not seem so.

Let’s be honest, we know that things will never be the same and no one knows what 2021 and it’s journey will bring. It doesn’t seem we will get back to any type of regular in-person worship for a long time and when it does, our little musical family will no doubt look different. We also know that God is not confused about His plan and trust that for each of us His will be done.

Meanwhile, we will continue to spread His message through music and sing praises to Him, the Most High, when and where we can. We sure hope and pray that will include you in the future. Regardless of what that future brings, you are and always will be part of the heart of Elijah Music Ministry and our dear friends.

May God bless you and Keep you

May He make His face to shine upon you

And may God grant you His peace, always.

Be safe and well! We love you,

Patrick & Peggy

If you have recordings or video you would like to see uploaded please send to me!

Our intent is to bring worship to the people, especially during this time while we cannot worship LIVE together.
