Happy Humpday!
We’ve incorporated a Google Calendar in the Calendar section with special notes about who is away, birthdays and special Liturgical Feasts. Scroll through, take a peek and make sure we got it right!
LENT/EASTER: Lent begins 3 weeks from today on March 1st! The choirs are now submitting their requests for Holy Week (Holy Thursday/Good Friday/Vigil, etc). We may offer to sing Holy Thursday as well as our usual Sunday 10:30AM. Let us know if you are available.
Happy February….already!?!

Check the ‘music file’ for files for upcoming masses and more.
Dedication Mass Video
You may recall Doug Lauson who is a parishioner was floating around the choir loft taking pictures during the Dedication Mass. He has put those pics to video and posted to Youtube…click to view.
There is a lovely group shot at the end.

Clare-Anne, you will soon find out that we don’t let birthdays slide by without notice. Lol! From all of us to you..HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
First Practice of 2017 Tonight – Notes
It will be great to have everyone back at practice tonight. Today, we also welcome Clare-Anne and Catherine to practice and have Jamie coming to keep up her bass chops! Lots going on so, please expect tonight’s practice to be a bit longer.
Since we have new members and members learning new vocal parts, we’d like to be able to start right around 8PM so, everyone who needs to set-up instruments, equipment, etc. please arrive with enough time to set-up before that. We will make an effort to be at the church as early as 7:30PM.
The church will be locked so please text Patrick 778.320.6473 or Peggy 778.988.6473 when you arrive and we’ll come down to open the door. See you then!
A New Year and New Beginnings
Welcome to this blog that was created for the use of Elijah Music Ministry‘s members and our followers featuring weekly Sunday Mass line-ups, audio files and the latest information.
Pastor Craig Scott contacted us in the summer of 2000 with the opportunity to lead music at a (then) brand new parish, St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic parish in Coquitlam. Since then our ministry, like our parish, has been shaped and formed into the group we are today.
The onset of a new year brings new beginnings. We bid farewell to the small hall that was our home for 13 years and moved into our new and permanent home, our beautiful new church. We said “goodbye” to longtime members Earl & Marilyn Bateman who were an integral part of our group for many years. We welcomed the audio engineering talents of Ed Garcia and we said “hello” to two amazing singers, Clare-Anne & Catherine Queenan, who were previously with another group in St. Clare’s music ministry.
Even our blog is new. Yes, changes all around. At the end of it all, we know that God is still in control and we marvel at His ways. He knows what we need before we do and provides more than we deserve.
Here we go, my friends. The next chapter of our story is about to be written.
