Hi guys! First of all, it’s good to be back with you. We had an amazing trip but, there really is no place like home.

Some sad news: we are saying goodbye to CLARE-ANNE (hopefully only for awhile). As you know Clare-Anne is very focused on her nursing education and it is proving to be very intense with many shifts at Surrey Memorial. This is keeping her very busy. We have no doubt God has her exactly where He wants her and where she is needed. We will miss you Clare-Anne!!
Some happy news: KRISTEN BORTIGNON is joining us starting this week! I happen to have been this amazing young lady’s Confirmation Sponsor so I can tell you she’s a lovely person and we all know she has a lovely voice! Double blessing. We are looking forward to having you join us, Kristen!

PRACTICE THIS WEEK: we are practicing on Thursday as usual but there are funeral prayers at 7PM. We may not start right away. See you all then!
Lots of birthday wishes this week for Jamie (Sept 1st), Dan (Sept 4th) and Ed (Sept 7th)!!
We love you guys!
We will be thinking of you all especially on Sunday mornings and praying for your worship!
Please pray for our safe travel and that the good Lord will reunite us to celebrate mass together on Sunday, September 24th.

Meanwhile…over to you, Dom!
Yesterday, August 21st, was the anniversary of Elijah and Elias’ passing and the birth of the Elijah Music Ministry, even though we didn’t know it at that time.
Yesterday, was also the eclipse…when I looked at the sun (but not too directly) waiting for the solar eclipse I thought it would get so much darker than it did. I am astonished that even though the sun was largely covered there was still SO much light and it was so bright that I actually barely thought anything was happening until I looked through those special glasses…WOW lots was happening up there!!
Losing people we love is so, so painful. It hurts so bad. But, in the boys passing I also experienced His powerful light and love. A light that stayed lit and was visible, even in the darkest of dark.
Slowly the months and years have turned August into a month to celebrate, not to mourn. All of you, your birthdays, the celebration of our friendships, of love, of music. It’s an AMAZING month! Thank you.
So…God reminded me yesterday that darkness, like that of an eclipse, is only temporary. And that His light and love will always be brighter, stronger and eternal. Faith.
Dear boys…I will see you again! Meanwhile, we are gifted with these fabulous friends who we love that keep us on track and on key, singing in the ministry that holds your name! As far as I’m concerned you have never left and never will.
