Welcome spring!

It’s the month of May already. A time of new beginnings. For this reason May is also a month dedicated to Mother Mary in the church.

The tradition of dedicating the month of May to Mary came about in the 13^thcentury. It is said that this came to be because this month is the time when spring is at the height of its beauty.  Spring is also connected with nature renewing itself.  In her way, Mary gave new life to the world when she gave birth to our saviour Jesus Christ.

This is an opportunity for us all to enjoy a renewal of sorts. We’ve experienced new babies (Norah 🥰), we look forward to wedding celebrations, and we are grateful for the new and eternal life our loved ones have found in heaven.
